Your site, summed up for AI. In about five minutes.
This llms txt generator writes an llms.txt file for your site from a short form: your name, a one-line summary, a few key facts and the pages that matter most. It follows the llmstxt.org format, so the file is a plain markdown guide that AI assistants and tools can read in one go.
Copy it or download it, then upload it to the root of your site. It runs in your browser, and nothing is sent to us.

Generate your llms.txt
Only the name is required. Nothing you type is sent to us.
What you do, for whom and where, in one sentence.
A short paragraph of key facts: location, opening hours, how to get in touch.
Tip: a section called “Optional” marks links an assistant can skip when it’s short on space.
Add your site name for the top line.
Upload it to the root of your site, so it opens at yoursite.co.uk/llms.txt. Sections without a heading or any complete link are left out.
What goes in an llms.txt file?
A title, a one-line summary, a few facts and a short list of your most useful pages. It's a markdown file at the root of your site that tells an AI system what you are and where to look, without it having to read every page.
The generator builds it in the order the llmstxt.org proposal sets out. Sections without a heading or a complete link are left out, and square brackets are stripped from link titles so the markdown stays valid.
- A # heading with your site or business name. The only required line.
- A > summary line: what you do, for whom and where.
- A short paragraph of facts, if you add one.
- ## sections, each a list of links in the form [Title](https://url): description.
- An optional section called Optional, for links an assistant can skip when it's short on space.
Does llms.txt help you get recommended by AI?
It can help, but it isn't a switch. llms.txt is a proposal, not an official standard, and the big assistants haven't said they use it to decide who to recommend. It's cheap to add and keeps your key facts in one clean place.
What moves AI answers more is the basics: plain facts on your pages, crawlers allowed in, schema, Bing and listings that agree. Treat llms.txt as a tidy extra on top of those.
Is my information private?
Yes. The generator runs in your browser. Your name, summary, facts and links are not sent to us or anyone else. The file only goes where you upload it.
What to do after you upload llms.txt
Check it's live, keep it short and keep it current.
- Open it in a browser.Visit yoursite.co.uk/llms.txt and check it shows as plain text, not a 404 or a download prompt.
- Use full URLs.Every link should start with https://, so it still works when the file is read out of context.
- Pick your best pages.Services, prices, about and contact. Not every blog post.
- Update it when things change.New service, new address, new prices: change the file the same day.
- Check your robots.txt.If AI search crawlers are blocked, they won't read your pages, whatever llms.txt says.
