Local business schema generator
Your business facts, in the format machines read.
This local business schema generator turns your business details into LocalBusiness structured data, as a JSON-LD script you can paste into your site. Fill in your name, address, phone, opening hours, areas served and profile links, and it writes valid code as you type.
Search engines and AI assistants use this data to check who you are and where you work. It runs in your browser, and nothing is sent to us.

How the local business schema generator works
Four steps. Only your business name is required, and empty fields are left out of the code.
- 1
Pick a business type
LocalBusiness, ProfessionalService, Store, Restaurant, HomeAndConstructionBusiness or MedicalBusiness. Pick the closest.
- 2
Add your details
Name, website, phone, email, address, country code and the areas you serve.
- 3
Hours and profiles
Opening hours by day, with extra rows for days that differ, plus links to your Google Business Profile, LinkedIn and other profiles.
- 4
Copy the code
Copy the JSON-LD and paste it into the head of your homepage.
Generate LocalBusiness schema
Use the same name, address and phone number as your Google Business Profile. Nothing you type is sent to us.
Pick the closest. LocalBusiness works for anyone with a local presence.
Start with https://
Two letters, e.g. GB.
Comma separated, e.g. Leicester, Nottingham, East Midlands.
One per line: your Google Business Profile, LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram and so on.
- Add your business name: it's the one field every listing needs.
Paste it into the <head> of your homepage, then check it with the Schema Markup Validator (validator.schema.org) or Google’s Rich Results Test.
What does the schema include?
Each field you fill in becomes a schema.org property. Anything you leave blank is left out, so the code never claims something you didn't enter.
| You enter | Schema property |
|---|---|
| Business type | @type |
| Business name | name |
| Website URL | url |
| Phone and email | telephone, email |
| Street, town, county, postcode, country | address (PostalAddress) |
| Areas served | areaServed |
| Opening hours | openingHoursSpecification |
| Profile URLs | sameAs |
Where do I add LocalBusiness schema?
In the head of your homepage, or on the page that best represents your business, such as contact. Most website builders and CMSs have a field for code in the head, or a plugin that adds it.
Then test it. Paste your page URL or the code into the Schema Markup Validator (validator.schema.org) or Google's Rich Results Test to check it reads correctly.
Does schema help with AI search?
It helps machines read your facts, but it doesn't guarantee anything. Google says structured data helps it understand a page, and AI assistants check the same facts. Schema works best when it matches what's on the page and on your listings, word for word.
Is my information private?
Yes. The generator runs in your browser. Your business details, hours and profile links are not sent to us or anyone else. The code only goes where you paste it.
What to do next
Schema is one piece. Make the facts match everywhere.
- Match your listings. The same name, address and phone number on Google, Bing, Apple and your sector's directories.
- Show the facts on the page.Address, hours and areas served in plain text, not only in the code.
- Add schema for services and products.Service, Product and FAQPage markup on the pages they describe.
- Test after every change.Run the validator again whenever you edit the site's head or switch themes.
